Cooking Directions:

1. Spread carrots across the bottom of your slow cooker.
2. Layer the sausage evenly over the carrots.
3. Sort through and rinse the lentils. Spread lentils across sausage.
4. Add chicken broth. Sprinkle salt and the contents of the spice packet evenly over top of layered ingredients. Tuck the bay leaf down into the vegetables.
5. Pour water over everything. DO NOT STIR.
6. Place lid securely on your slow cooker.
7. Turn on your slow cooker and cook on high for 2 1/2 - 3 hours or on low for 3 1/2 - 4 hours.
8. 15 minutes befoer serving, add spinach. Stir into the soup and replace cover. Cook on low to complete. Locate and discard bay leaf before serving.
