Fredericksburg Farms Texas Trail Drive Chili Mix is a favorite for chili cooks all the world over! Just add chopped chicken or turkey, diced onion, 3 cans of chicken stock, fresh cilantro and sour cream and you're set for a warm, delicious meal to share with family and friends.

2 lbs chopped turkey or chicken, cooked and deboned
1 large onion, diced
3 cans (14.5 oz) chicken stock
Fresh cilantro
Sour cream
2 cans white kidnet or navy beans (optional)
 

Cooking Directions:

  • In a large skillet, saute the diced onion with butter or vegetable oil.
  • Bring chicken stock to a boil in a 3 quart sauce pan.
  • Add mix, chicken or turkey and onion.
  • Simmer for 45 minutes.
  • If you would like beans, add them in the last 15 minutes so they will pick up the flavor but not loose their texture.
  • Serve with a dollop of sour cream, a few sprigs of cilantro and a slice of lime.

Ingredients:

Spices, garlic, onion and red pepper.
