5 cups water

1 large onion, chopped

1 medium green bell pepper, chopped

2 cups tomatoes, chopped (fresh or canned)

1/8 to 1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup rice (white or brown)

Cooking Directions:

Pick through and wash lentils.
Add 5 cups water, onion, green pepper, tomatoe, oil and seasoning packet.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Add salt/pepper to taste.
