I must respectfully disagree with the other commenters here. I think this is a very good soup, but not quite excellent. There is something missing. I am not sure what it is. My palate is not that sophisticated. It may be that it needs a few more mushrooms. They are listed very low in the ingredient list. Maybe changing from vegetable base to chicken base would help. Or a little bit of lemon. There is also one thing I strongly disagree with on their package. They print in BOLD letter NO MSG but then they list Disodium Inosinate/Gaunylate on the ingredient list. These are both derivatives of MSG and are much stronger than MSG. Also, mushrooms naturally contain significant amounts of MSG naturally. That is why mushrooms have such a strong umami flavor.

THE BEST MUSHROOM SOUP EVER!!!!! I can't believe how easy and wonderful this is. I added a small can of sliced mushrooms for extra texture and OMG! It's truly the best.

I love this soup! I cut down on the water a little and then add an equivalent amount of fresh heavy cream to it when I take the pot off the light. It's like I'd died and gone to heaven!
