Maggie and Mary's Chill-Chasin' Chili

Just add water and 1 lb. of browned ground beef (or ground turkey) for the easiest, heartiest, bestest chili ever! Developed as a mild heat chili, you can add more peppers (or reduce the amount of meat you add) if you like your chili hotter!

Additions:
4 1/2 cups water
1 pound lean ground beef (or ground turkey if you prefer)
Cooking Directions:

Brown ground beed in skillet. Drain.

In large kettle, combine chili mix with 4 1/2 cups hot water. Add packet of red beans blending well with whisk.

Add ground beef. Simmer 20-30 minutes stirring occasionally.

For thinner chili, add water to your liking.
Variations/Additions:

Stir in grated cheese.

Add a can of diced tomatoes, well drained.
-
Substitute 1 can beer for 12 oz water.

Garnish with a dollup of sour cream.
