Plentiful Pantry Pound Cake with Cinnamon Sauce

A truly moist and decadent pound cake with a fabulous cinnamon sauce. Just add butter and water.

Additions:
3/4 cup (1½ sticks) melted butter
1 cup water
Directions:
Pound Cake Directions:
Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly grease a 8x8 pan or standard loaf pan. Combine water, melted butter and pound cake mix in large bowl; blend well. DO NOT OVER MIX; batter may be lumpy. Spread in loaf pan and bake 65-75 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. (you may cover with foil the last 15 minutes if the cake is getting too browned.) Cool completely and remove from pan. Slice and serve with cinnamon sauce. High Altitude: (over 5,000 feet) Increase water by 2 tablespoons and add 1/3 cup flour.
Cinnamon Sauce Directions:
Add 1 cup water to small saucepan. Stir in sauce packet. Bring sauce to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool sauce and serve over Pound Cake.
