My wife and I use this as the basis of a slightly different version, which I wouldn't call gumbo. We use the tomatoes, sausage and shrimp like it says, but we also add a can of cream of mushroom soup and a bunch of frozen corn. The spices are fantastic and it tuns into one of the tastiest soups I've ever had!

Made this last night...added a bit of chicken breast, andouie sausage, okra, and shrimp...the seasonings in this mix are just right. I didn't have to add anything like salt, pepper, ..nothing. It is great!!
