Water
2 lbs or more any ground meat or combination of ground meat (try turkey or sausage)
1 can (10oz) stewed tomatoes (optional)
1 can (10oz) tomato sauce (optional)
 

Cooking Directions:

  • Rinse beans and sort out any foriegn materials.
  • Cover beans with 2-3 inches water.
  • Boil hard for a few minutes, then turn them way down so they cook just 'til they are about dry (but not too dry).
  • After the beans have cooked down, you will want to boil and add water a couple more times until the beans are tender.
  • While beans are cooking, brown meat.
  • Combine meat, mix and beans (do not drain off excess liquid from beans).
  • Simmer. 
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Top with cheese and onion.
  • Spice it up with some dashes of tabasco included with this mix.
