Cooking Directions:

  • Bring water and vegetable pack to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and cook 20 minutes.
  • Add pasta packet.
  • Cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until pasta is done.
  • Add additional water for a thinner soup.
  • Optional: you may add ground beef or meat or ham. Tomatoes and onion can be added as well.

Well, I hope adding the ham gave it flavor. We prepared it following the instructions. By the time the 20 minutes is up and you then add the 24 macaroni, the beans overcook waiting for the macaroni to cook. It was bland. If you have a box and don't know what to do now after this post..use stock instead of water and add the ham the other poster suggested..because I don't think I want to try it again.

Throw in a piece of ham from Thanksgiving dinner and found this soup to be just perfect for a cold winter night in the mountains. Cooked in about 1/2 an hour
