Bear Creek Cheddar Broccoli Soup

A velvety smooth cheddar soup dotted with broccoli flowerets. Great by itself of as a sauce for potatoes or pasta.

Cooking Directions:

Bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil. Whisk in soup mix. Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste.
Cheese Sauce: Reduce water by 1 cup, cook as directed. Serve as a sauce over baked potatoes or cooked pasta. Top with grated cheese. Store in a cool dry place.

I always made mine from scratch. This is better and costs a lot less. I add a bag of cooked broccoli to it.

Tastes okay but seriously folks you can make these soups yourself at home. My two star rating is for the sodium levels and the ingredients used. Most of these soups contain a very high amount of salt, MSG and trans fats. ANYTHING that has "partially hydrogenated oils" is going to contain trans fats. Granted they take little time and are considered a "convienience food" if you are short on time. I don't consider a soup that give you 43% worth of your daily salt intake a wise idea to feed your family with. There are plenty of recipes online that are quick, easy and a whole lot more healthy.

I usually simmer a bag of broccoli on low most of day in crockpot and add dry soup mix about 30 minutes before ready to serve. DELICIOUS
