We add potatoes and 2 cans of clams. Also try cutting the water a bit to make it thicker. Best except for what Grandma used to make.

This soup is excellent. I like to add some more potato cubes and 2 cans of chopped clams. The falvor is excellent and as good or better than some resturants I have eaten at. Try it, you won't be sorry if you like chowder.

This is difficult to find in grocery stores, but it is a family favorite. Even my husband, who does not usually care for soup, loves this one.

Our pastor is from the Baltimore area, and he was thrilled when I made him some of this soup. To two pkgs. of soup mix, I added three cans of clams with the juice. and a wee taste of bacon. To the people who can't find it in the stores, you can always order it directly from soupsonline.com.

I have had this one time sevral months ago. The supermarket that sold it moved out of my area and now I can't find it anymore. I live in Waterbury Ct,06704 and if any one knows what store this can be purchased in I would be so greatfull. When I made it I added 1 can of baby whole clams half and half with some clam juce.
