Additions:
2 lbs ground meat
1 can (28oz) diced tomatoes
1 large yellow onion
1 large bell pepper
8 oz Monterey Jack cheese
6 oz beer
2 1/2 cups water
Lime
Cooking Directions:

Combine chili mix, with tomatoes, beer and water.

Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes stirring often.

Brown meat, draining fat.

Dice onion and pepper.

Add to pot and simmer at least another hour.

Prior to serving, stir in cheese and teaspoon of lime juice (or to taste).
Serving Suggestions:

Serve with crackers or hot corn bread with honey butter.

For an extra hearty meal, enjoy over pasta or rice.

You can use ground beef, turkey, pork or buffalo.

Add beans if you like or omit beef and use beans for a vegetarian version.

Red wine can be substituted for beer if you like.
