We love the aromas of slow-cooking pot roast - especially on Sundays when everyone's home. Red Fork's Sunday Pot Roast Seasoning Sauce is their rendition, studded with luxurious porcini mushrooms and roasted garlic, fills us with joy whenever it's cooking.
Red Fork Recipe - Serves 4-6
2 pounds Beef Chuck Roast
1 pouch Red Fork SUnday Pot Roast Seasoning Sauce
2 cups broth or water
Preheat oven to 350°. Brown roast in 1 to 2 Tbs. of oil in a Dutch oven set over medium-high heat until golden, about 5 minutes per side. Pour the Pot Roast Sauce and 2 cups broth or water over beef. Cover and cook in oven until fork tender, 2 to 3 hours. Slow Cooker Variation: Brown beef as directed. Put beef, Seasoning Sauce and 1 cup broth in a slow-cooker. Cover and cook on low until fork-tender, 6 to 8 hours.
