Cooking Directions:

  • Add contents to 5 cups water stirring thoroughly to mix well.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until vegetables soften.

Serving Suggestions:

  • For a creamier taste, omit 1/2 cup of water from directions and add 1/2 cup of milk before removing from heat.
  • This soup is also great with cooked beans, lentils, pasta, rice, sausage or meat if desired.
  • Serve with salad and crusty bread for a complete healthy meal.
