Additions:

 
4 1/2 cups water
 

Cooking Directions:

  • In kettle, combine soup base packet with 4 1/2 cups hot water, blending well with whisk.
  • Add onions, stiring.
  • Simmer covered for 45-60 minutes on low, stirring occasionally.

Variations/Additions:

  • To prepare in the crockpot, cook 2 hours on high stirring occasionally.
  • Pour prepared soup into oven safe ceramic soup pots/crocks on a cookie sheet. Drop slice of French bread into each. Sprinkle with grated swiss cheese, bake for 20 minutes then set breifly under the broiler to top brown.

Dehydrated Onions, Hydrolyzed Corn, Soy and Wheat Protiens, Maltodextrin, Sugar, Salt, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oils, Modified Corn Starch, Beef Fat, Beef Extract, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Locust Bean Gum, Silicon Dioxide (to prevent caking), Caramel Color, Dehydrated Vegetables (Garlic and Carrots), Monosodium Glutamate, Disodium Inosinate and Disodium Guanylate, Spice, Whey Solids, Burgundy Wine Solids, Soy Sauce Solids, Butter and Sulfiting Agents.
