Cooking Directions:

  • Add contents to 5 cups water. 
  • Bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until lentils are tender. 

Variations:

  • Add chicken, turkey bacon or tofu.
  • For a versatile, delicious dip for bread, crackers or vegetables: simmer to reduce and puree with sour cream.

It tasted like dishwater. I had to cook it twicw as long it said. I put alot of buillon in it and then it was palatable. The mushrooms (what there was of them) were quit good.
