Delicae Gourmet Grandma's Country Chicken & Rice

A delicious chicken dinner with vegetables and rice that puts a smile on Grandpa's face.

Additions:
4 cups water
1 10 3/4 oz can of condensed cream of chicken (or cream of mushroom) soup
Cooking Directions:
Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer the contents of the vegetable and spice packets over the chicken. Layer rice over vegetables and spices. Top with can of condensed chicken soup. Slowly pour the water or broth over the ingredients. Do not stir. Cover and cook on high for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours or low for 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 hours. Do not lift lid while cooking. Salt to taste.
Serving Suggestions:
Substitute 1 cup of your favorite white or red table wine for 1 cup of water (do not use cooking wine). Top with sour cream and chives. Add 8 oz of sliced mushrooms. Before serving add sun-dried tomatoes & fresh basil leaves for Mediterranean flavor.
