This soup really surprised me. I expected a very mild, subtle taste like many Japanese soups. But this is very flavorful; a strong umami taste in a very good Dashi broth with a very pronounced Wakame seaweed flavor. Well balanced. One minor criticism. The package you purchase contains three packet. Each of these packets make 3/4 cup of soup. Maybe one packet is sufficient for smaller people but for me (a large male) I needed to use two packets. I would not recommend this soup to someone who has never eaten Oriental soups (strong Dashi soup base and strong Wakame seaweed taste) but I definitely will be purchasing more of this soup. Definitely Yummm!!
