Additions:1 tbsp oil
1 lb cubed round steak or hamburger
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 medium chopped onion
1 cup sherry wine
1 tsp salt
Cooking Directions:Clean and soak beans in water overnight. Drain. Saute onion and meal in oil. Place 2 cups water, beans, and spices in a large soup pot. Bring to a rolling boil. Simmer on low for 2 hours or until beans are soft. Add pepper packet to taste. Serve with hot biscuits, dark bread or tortillas. Top with diced green onions, sour cream or shredded cheese. Ingredients:Black beans, spice pack (minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, oregano, cumin, chili pepper, and basil), small packet habanero pepper.
