Additions:

 
4 cups water
12 oz can of chicken
1/3 cup milk
 

Cooking Directions:

  • In a 2-quart saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add contents of soup package and lower heat to a simmer.
  • Gently add chicken (broken into pieces) into simmering soup.
  • Place contents of dumpling package in a small bowl.
  • Sir in 1/3 cup milk with a fork until dough is just moistened (do not overmix or dumplings will be tough).
  • Spoon dumpling dough by the tablespoon into the simmering soup (should make 8 to 10 dumplings).
  • Continue to simmer for 10 minutes uncovered, then cover and simmer an additional 5 minutes.

SOUP: Dehydrated Vegetables Including Carrots, Potatoes, Peas and Onions, Wheat Flour, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Chicken Base (Slat, Sugar Chicken Fat, Maltodextrin, Hydrolyzed Corn Wheat Gluten Soy Protein, Onion Powder Turmeric, Natural Flavor), and Spices

The best Chicken & Dumplings Soup. I would not say it serves 6 even if you have it as a meal starter though. Just plan on 4 or 2/3 if you eat it as a meal.
