Manischewitz Croyden House Matzo Ball & Soup Mix


This Matzo Ball & Soup is a delicious soup you can serve anytime.  Enjoy this matzo ball & soup throughout the year.  For a delicious side dish prepare matzoh balls as directed.  Remove matzoh balls from soup and let stand until cool.  Then deep fry until golden brown.  Serve piping hot.


2 eggs
1/3 cup cooking oil
2 1/2 quarts water

Cooking Directions:

Blend eggs and vegetable oil in a small bowl.  Add matzo ball mix and stir with fork until evenly mixed.  Refrigerate for 15 minutes.  Add soup mix to water and bring to a boil.  Wet hands and form batter into balls approximately 1 inch in diameter.  Drop boils into boiling soup and cover tightly.  Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.


Matzo meal (passover wheat flour and water), salt, monosodium glutamate, sugar, onion, vegetable shortening (partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil), garlic, monocalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, soluble dill, white pepper, soluble pepper, parsley, annatto color.

Absolutely the BEST matzoh balls EVER. Everyone asks me my trick and can't believe they're from a package. I throw most of the soup mix away. Use maybe 1/3 of it to flavor my own soup and people think I made my own matzoh balls too!
