4 cups chicken broth 1 28-ounce can pumpkin puree 2 cups heavy cream 6 tablespoons brown sugar
In a 3 or 4 quart pot bring broth, pumpkin, brown sugar and 1/2 of the contents of spice packet to a boil, stirring to blend. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 15 minutes. Add cream slowly and continue heating on low for 10 minutes.
