Delicious... added garlic , onions, ham, bay leaf cooked with soup mixture, added biscuits for dumplings and let it cook 15 longer. It is thick and delicious! Will try it again.

Best soup I ever made. Boiled a massive ham hock in water, chicken stock, onions, garlic and seasonings. Added soup mixture. With each bowl I ate, add a blessing of olive oil and topped with Parmesan cheese. Can't wait to make it again.

Alessi always provides a good amount of flavor in their soups, and this is well seasoned and has a good texture, not runny. I feel very satisfied when I have it. good for appetizer or meal. I often eat the whole thing for a meal.

Much, much, much better than I had even hoped. Canned split pea soups have become way to salty and yet flavorless. This was great, affordable, quick, and neither excessively salty nor at all sweet! Could be a little thicker and could have visible peas. I added a touch of chopped proscuitto for a meaty bite.

Great as is but when I'm really in the mood to do something extra, I saute some onions, portabella mushrooms, and chorizo sausage and add in the last 7 minutes. Try it. It is divine.
