This is the first Buckeye Beans soup I tried (next up is split pea) and it has some good flavor but it’s too heavy on the chili powder for me. It ended up more like a chili or stew almost, which is not what I expected. I have a very mild palate and it had a little tiny bite to it. I would consider eating this with cornbread or frito chips or something.
Also, I’m not sure what spices were in it but something made it smell kinda unappetizing while it cooked. Like plants or the woods or something, and I’m glad it didn’t taste the way it smelled in my kitchen.
It was hearty and flavorful, not bland, and I felt full afterwards. I had sustained energy and my body seemed to enjoy the nutritional aspect.
But I won’t be buying this same flavor again. I hope the other soup mixes are more my taste.

This is a very good tasting soup, the first Buckeye soup I have tried.
It makes a lot of soup, and I found an easy way to half it.

This soup is soooooooooooooooooo good! Sometimes I use Ground beef, sometimes I use stew meat. You don't need to add anything to this great soup....but sometimes I add a little corn ( I cut fresh from the cobb). This soup warms your soul....

The best soup ever! Just like Aunt Patsy's, which went out of business. Hopefully this company will stick around. Spread the word, or better yet, give a box of soup to your friends and family in a gift box!
